Kara Brantley, MD | Southern Women's Health
Kara Brantley, MD
Dr. Brantley has had the privilege of practicing obstetrics and gynecology for over 23 years, all at Southern Women’s Health. Throughout her career, she has cared for women across every stage of life, providing both obstetric and gynecologic care. Dr. Brantley has a special interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, and she is passionate about offering advanced, patient-centered treatment options. One of the most rewarding aspects of Dr. Brantley’s work is the lifelong relationships she builds with her patients. It is truly special for her to care for multiple generations within families—often seeing grandmothers, mothers, and daughters—and now even delivering babies for patients she once delivered herself. Dr. Brantley’s personal journey has also shaped the way she practices medicine. Having experienced infertility due to endometriosis, she has a deep understanding of how emotionally and physically challenging that path can be. This perspective allows her to connect with and support her patients with greater empathy and compassion. As Dr. Brantley has entered the menopausal stage of life, she has developed an even stronger interest in helping women navigate this transition with knowledge, confidence, and individualized care. Outside of medicine, Dr. Brantley is a proud mom to two teenage boys. Her oldest, Jack, is 18 and heading to college with a passion for musical theatre, and she loves traveling with him to enjoy performances and concerts. Her younger son, Alex, is 15, and they share a love of baseball—whether it’s traveling for his games, collecting baseball cards together, or attending professional sporting events. In her free time, Dr. Brantley enjoys shopping, spending time with her extended family, and cheering on Ole Miss. Hotty Toddy!
